When I took over Cómpeta Solar from Malcom, my father-in-law, a few years ago, I took on more than a business. I took on a name local customers knew, a reputation Malcom had worked hard to build, and a strong connection to Cómpeta.
Keeping the name was an easy decision. It respected where the business came from and reassured customers that the values behind it would remain in place.
Since then, my family and I, together with our team, have worked hard to build on those foundations. We have grown the business while protecting the personal service and standards it was known for.
Our customers began recommending us to friends, neighbours and family living further away. Enquiries started arriving from across the Axarquía and from other parts of Málaga. We were increasingly being asked to help homeowners well beyond Cómpeta.
At the same time, the work itself became broader. Solar panels remain at the heart of what we do, but homeowners now ask us to look at their energy use as a whole: batteries, EV charging, air conditioning, hot water and efficient pool heating.
The name Cómpeta Solar still described the roots of the business, but no longer quite represented everywhere we worked or everything we provided. That is why we are becoming CS Energy.Solar.
This is not about distancing ourselves from Cómpeta. It is not a new owner, a different team or an attempt to hide the history of the business. It is the next stage of the same company.

Our customers now come from further afield
Cómpeta Solar was built locally, largely through reputation and recommendation. As more systems were installed, our working area expanded naturally. Satisfied customers introduced us to people in neighbouring towns and further along the coast.
Today, we receive enquiries from homeowners across a much wider part of Málaga. A highly local name could give people outside Cómpeta the impression that we do not cover their area.
Cómpeta remains our home and an important part of our story. It is simply no longer the boundary of our work.
A new name that carries our history forward
Cómpeta Solar
The CS initials deliberately carry Cómpeta Solar forward. We have also retained the original house-and-sun symbol because customers already recognise it and it represents the domestic work on which the company was built.
Energy.Solar reflects the broader way we now help homeowners. The new identity gives us room to provide a more complete range of residential energy solutions while keeping solar at the centre.
We are not moving away from solar. We are building around it.
More than solar panels
Modern homes use energy in increasingly connected ways. A pool pump can run during peak solar production. A battery can save unused generation for the evening. An EV charger can prioritise surplus solar.

Our existing website address and contact channels will continue directing customers to the right place while the new identity is introduced.
Existing customers do not need to do anything. If we installed your system as Cómpeta Solar, we remain the team responsible for supporting it.

No longer limited by the name
Growth can sometimes make a local business feel less personal. That is not what we want. Our wider service area will not change the way we approach individual homes.
Every property still needs to be understood properly. Every system still needs to be designed around real usage. Every installation still needs to be completed cleanly and supported afterwards.
We are proud that the business began in Cómpeta. The new name does not erase that history. It carries it into a business that now serves more homeowners and offers a more complete range of domestic energy solutions.
Cómpeta is where our story began. CS Energy.Solar is where it continues.
