Andalucía is an autonomous community located in the south of Spain, and Competa Solar recognizes its potential as one of the most profitable regions for solar energy consumption. It is known for having the highest solar irradiation in the country, making it an ideal place for solar panel installations and maximizing self-consumption profitability.

Moreover, this community offers a range of bonuses and subsidies that further enhance the profitability of self-consumption. Let us explain how.

Solar Panel Incentives in Andalucía

The incentives and subsidies are divided into various programs based on the applicant/beneficiary and the location/activity/use of the photovoltaic installation. Competa Solar guides you through the entire purchasing process and subsidy application, providing assistance in managing the process. Here are the programs:

Programs 1, 2, and 3: These subsidies are aimed at businesses. It is important to note that they only apply to projects with a budget, as no payments can be made before the initial application phase. A significant consideration is that the budget or invoice holder for the system must be the same as the applicant/beneficiary company. The assistance is calculated as a percentage based on the size of the company.

Program 4: This program supports the installation of solar panels in residential areas, public administrations, and the tertiary sector, with or without energy storage, including self-employed individuals.

Program 5: It focuses on expanding energy storage capacity in residential areas, public administrations, and the tertiary sector, also including self-employed individuals.

These programs and applications will be in effect until the end of 2023. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until the funding is exhausted. The deadline for the government to resolve and notify the resolution will be within six months from the date of submission.

A prerequisite is that the payment receipts for the self-consumption installations must be dated after the publication date indicated in the BOE (Official State Gazette) of the RD 477/2021, specifically after June 30, 2021 (excluding that day), meaning from July 1, 2021, onwards.

For Program 4 (related to the residential sector), it is necessary to ensure that, on an annual basis, the sum of electricity consumed by the consumer from the installation being subsidized is equal to or greater than 80% of the annual energy generated by the installation. The maximum storage capacity cannot exceed five times the installed generation capacity, as stipulated in the latest amendment to the BOE.

Some communities may still apply double ratios until the publication of their own bulletins. You can consult the specific conditions of each community for further details.

It is essential that all installations be legalized to be eligible for subsidies. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via email at info@competasolar.es. An additional monetary bonus is available for installations located in towns with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants, addressing demographic challenges.

How to Apply for Solar Panel Subsidies in Andalucía

The application process consists of several phases:

Once the management fee is paid, the applicant is listed, and the application process begins.

Each autonomous community has up to six months to determine the status of the application.

Up to 18 months are allowed for project justification after receiving a favorable resolution.

Programs 4 and 5: The application can be submitted with a final solar panel budget or an invoice. You have the option to pay only for the management service or partially or fully cover the photovoltaic system's budget. Please note that the validity of these budget offers is 15 days.

Monetary assistance is evaluated in modules: MODULE A for panels and MODULE B for batteries. It is important to emphasize that the budget or invoice holder must be the same
